Born and raised in the mountainous Morobe district of Papua New Guinea, Seu Matangi is a self-taught indigenous artist.

Seu has done art for most of his life but generally as a gift r a hobby. With a wealth of life and cultural experience which he wants to turn back into his art he has ability, detail and every picture has a story.

With a distinct perspective of the world around him and a desire to promote his culture and his identity through his artwork Seu has been drawing, singing and carving for many years. Now his talent is on the global stage!
